, and newt gingrich himself said just the other day, he's the best debater. he beat all of them. tim pawlenty, a republican said they think he's a terrific debater mitt romney used senator rob portman of ohio to act as his opponent while preparing for the debate.... and john kerry played the role of romney stand-in...for president obama. the president has a day job, the presiden'ts been president and has not had the time to practice, all we hear about is that mitt romney's been practicing practicing, practicing wherever he goes. i think mitt romney is going to come in there very prepared, he's going to do very well because he's done very well in all of the debates i think sometimes we expect a major breakthrough, you know a comment. that doesn't happen very often. it happened with reagan and mondale. it happened with reagan and carter, but frankly, i can't remember the last time there was one of these comments that grabbed everybody's attention because, frankly, the candidates are too well prepared. they're well scripted. on sunday, president obama headed to las vegas for a c

that happened late last year during which you had mitt romney, newt gingrich commander santorum all agree enthusiastically that when the immigration reform to attract more high skilled immigrants. and kept asking them, what about the border? there were having this conversation about themselves and it was completely ignored. it sounded like a border is said to me. and of course mitt romney give a speech about immigration reform that was oriented around family reunification and more skilled vises. and -- and utterly marginal issue. the most recent years that we have data for you have more immigration, more skilled immigration than you do less. also, you have more representation from asia than you do let america. that doesn't necessarily mean any kind of the changed. he's not hearing terribly well. yet it is also true that the immigration debate is our friend in some ways was some of us and its friends and others by others. i think that's important to keep in mind, particularly as the composition of that continues to change. i guess i see these questions a little more differently in that i s

with newt gingrich. we have to get back to that context when it is not about political party but taking care of people and moving forward. leadership is not about blame. it is the house's fall for the president's fault. leadership is about rolling up your sleeves and locking yourself in a room and leading by example. congress has not been able to come of with a budget in 2,000 days. that is ridiculous. let's come up with a budget. there is legislation that is bipartisan. no budget no pay legislation says if congress doesn't do its job and have a responsible budget they don't get paid. that is a step in the right direction. my pledge is i will co-sponsor that legislation which is bipartisan and holds congress accountable for doing with their job which is passing a budget and they haven't done it in 2,000 days. has the no budget no pay legislation. >> the question is about compromise. give us another ec would be willing to compromise on. bera: there are many of us who thing no child left behind is going in the wrong direction. i will stand against my own party and the president. i don't think
